Fight Result - Sak Nayagam V Akeomi Nitta
(8th Dec 2002)
I guess you're
wondering how the fight went. Sak put up a tremendous performance
losing on a TKO at the end of round 2. Having won the first
round convincingly.
Our fight strategy was aborted as we found out on the morning
of the fight that no elbows would be allowed..
All things considered this was a tremendous performance
by Sak. Coming into the fight the crowd was fairly hostile..
but they were silenced during the first round when Sak landed
several knees and had Nitta on the canvas repeatedly. The
fight was explosive with both fighters on the canvas in
round 2.
Nitta adapted his strategy in the second round to deliver
his trademark hard kicks which took their toll. Nitta is
a very accomplished fighter (WKA World Champ) having fought
Ramond Decker and is a K1 fighter.
All in all Sak came out with great credibility and flew
the KO flag well - we can be proud of him.
